REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Reclining Seat Type) INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Place the rear side seatback assembly LH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Engage the hook and install the rear side seatback assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    3. w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Connect the connector.


        1. Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the white housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.

        2. Be sure to engage the connectors until they are locked (when locking, make sure that a click sound can be heard).

          Note


          • When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.


          • When engaged, the white housing lock will slide. Be sure not to hold the white housing lock and upper part of the yellow CPA, as it may result in an insecure fit.

  2. CONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  3. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. CONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

  5. INSTALL CENTER SEATBACK ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the center seatback assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Engage the 2 guides.

    4. Install the center seatback assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    5. Connect the connector.

  6. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Engage the clamp.

      2. Connect the connector.

    2. Place the rear seatback assembly LH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    3. Install the rear seatback assembly LH with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    4. Engage the 2 hooks to connect the cover to the package tray trim panel assembly.

    5. Connect the rear seat outer belt assembly LH to the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH.

  7. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH


    1. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Engage the clamp.

    2. Place the rear seatback assembly RH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    3. Install the rear seatback assembly RH with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    4. Engage the 2 hooks to connect the cover to the package tray trim panel assembly.

    5. Connect each rear seat outer belt to the rear seat shoulder belt guide RH and rear seat center shoulder belt guide.

  8. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER


    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 rear seatback covers to the rear seatback assembly LH.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

  9. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

      Engage the 2 claws to install a new rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  10. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Connect each connector.

    2. Place the rear seat cushion assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the rear side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.

    4. Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration to install the rear seat cushion assembly.

      Note

      Confirm that the rear seat cushion assembly is securely installed.

  11. CONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      Connect the rear center seat outer belt assembly as shown in the illustration.

  12. INSTALL REAR CENTER SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear center seat headrest assembly.

  13. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear seat headrest assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)

  15. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
