TRANSMISSION WIRE REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL GAUGE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the transmission oil level gauge.

  3. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID

      Remove the drain plug, gasket and drain the ATF.

    2. Install a new gasket and the drain plug.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 205 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
  4. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts and transmission oil filler tube.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the oil filler tube.

  5. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Uniformly loosen the 19 bolts and remove the transmission oil pan sub-assembly.

      Install the blade of SST between the transmission case and oil pan, cut off applied sealer and remove the oil pan.

      Note

      When removing the oil pan, be careful not to damage the oil pan flange.

      Remove the 3 magnets from the oil pan.

    4. Examine particles in the pan.

        Collect any steel chips with the removed magnets. Carefully look at the foreign objects and particles in the pan and on the magnets to guess at the type of wear which might be found in the transmission. Steel (magnetic)... bearing, gear and clutch plate wear. Brass (non-magnetic)... bushing wear

  6. REMOVE VALVE BODY OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts and oil strainer.

      Note

      Be careful as some fluid will come out of the oil strainer.

    2. Remove the 3 gaskets from the oil strainer.

  7. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION WIRE

      Disconnect the ATF temperature sensor connector and shift solenoid valve connectors.

  8. REMOVE TRANSMISSION WIRE

      Remove the bolt and pull out the transmission wire.

    2. B007P6LE01

      Remove the O-ring from the transmission wire.
