CLUTCH STROKE SENSOR(for C553A) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT CLUTCH STROKE SENSOR

    1. Connect 3 dry-cell batteries (1.5 V each) in series.

    2. Connect a positive (+) lead from the batteries to terminal (A) and a negative (-) lead to terminal (B).

    3. Turn the sensor arm and check the voltage between terminals (B) and (C).

      Standard Voltage (Power source voltage at 4.5 V)

      3.83 to 4.27 V

      2.01 to 2.49 V

      -55°

      0.23 to 0.67 V

      Standard Voltage (Power source voltage at 4.7 to 5.3 V)

      2.2 to 2.8 V

      0.2 to 0.8 V

      Note:
      • Do not apply more than 6 V.

      • Do not drop the clutch stroke sensor. If dropped, replace it with a new one.

      If the voltage is not as specified, replace the clutch stroke sensor.
