REAR LEAF SPRING DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE LEAF SPRING DYNAMIC DAMPER (FOR VAN WITH DYNAMIC DAMPER)

      Remove the bolt and leaf spring dynamic damper.

  2. REMOVE REAR SPRING CLIP BOLT CASE (FOR VAN WITHOUT DYNAMIC DAMPER)

      Remove the bolt and rear spring clip bolt case.

  3. REMOVE LEAF SPRING DYNAMIC DAMPER ASSEMBLY (FOR COMMUTER WITH DYNAMIC DAMPER)

      Remove the 2 nuts and leaf spring dynamic damper assembly.

  4. REMOVE REAR LEAF SPRING DYNAMIC DAMPER BRACKET (FOR COMMUTER WITHOUT DYNAMIC DAMPER)

      Remove the 2 nuts and rear leaf spring dynamic damper bracket.

  5. DISASSEMBLY REAR LEAF SPRING ASSEMBLY

      Secure the rear leaf spring assembly in a vise using aluminum plates.

    2. Use a hammer or brass bar to pry open the spring clip of the rear leaf spring assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the leaf spring.

      Secure the rear leaf spring assembly in a vise using aluminum plates.

    4. Hold the center bolt with pliers and remove the nut, leaf spring, and spacer.

  6. REMOVE REAR SPRING SILENCER

      Remove the 2 nuts and 2 rear spring silencers.

  7. REMOVE REAR SPRING SILENCER NO.1

  8. REMOVE REAR SPRING LEAF BUSHING

      Put matchmarks on the bushing on the front side of the vehicle.


      1. Align the leaf spring with the openings and put matchmarks.

    2. Use the SST and press, remove the bushings on both sides of the vehicle.

      Note

      Do not erase the matchmark on the leaf spring when removing the bushing on the front side of the vehicle.
