COOLER EXPANSION VALVE INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL COOLER EXPANSION VALVE

   1. Apply sufficient compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of a new cooler expansion valve.

      Compressor Oil
      VC200YF or equivalent

   2. Install the 2 O-rings to the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.

      Note:

      Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces free from dirt and foreign matter.

   3. Using a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench, install a new cooler expansion valve with the 2 hexagon bolts.

      8.0 N*m

2. CONNECT AIRCONDITIONER HOSE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY (for 1KR-FE)

   1. Remove the vinyl tape from the air conditioner hose and accessory assembly.

   2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the air conditioner hose and accessory assembly.

      Compressor Oil
      VC200YF or equivalent

   3. Install the 2 O-rings to the air conditioner hose and accessory assembly.

      Note:

      Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces free from dirt and foreign matter.

   4. Connect the air conditioner hose and accessory assembly.

   5. Insert the hose joint into the fitting hole securely and install the nut.

      9.8 N*m

   6. Install the bolt to the radiator support sub-assembly.

3. CONNECT AIRCONDITIONER HOSE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY (for 1PP)

   1. Remove the vinyl tape from the air conditioner hose and accessory assembly.

   2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the air conditioner hose and accessory assembly.

   3. Install the 2 O-rings to the air conditioner hose and accessory assembly.

      Note:

      Keep the O-ring and O-ring fitting surfaces free from dirt and foreign matter.

   4. Connect the air conditioner hose and accessory assembly.

   5. Insert the hose joint into the fitting hole securely and install the nut.

4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 1PP)

5. INSTALL FRONT UPPER BUMPER SUPPORT (for 1KR-FE)

7. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT

   for HFC-134a (R134a):

8. WARM UP ENGINE
