VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE(for Engine Mounting) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. Measure the resistance.

        Component without harness connected

        (Vacuum Switching Valve Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 37 to 44 Ω
        1 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
        2 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve assembly.

    2. A01RE4OC01
      *a Port (E)
      *b Port (F)
      *c Air
      *d Filter

      Check the operation of the vacuum switching valve assembly.


      1. Using a vacuum pump, check that air flows from port (E) to the filter.

        Standard
        Condition Standard
        Vacuum of 67 kPa (503 mmHg, 19.8 in.Hg) applied to port (F) Air flows from port (E) to the filter.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve assembly.

        *a Port (E)
        *b Port (F)
        *c Air

        Apply battery voltage to the terminals and check that air flows from port (E) to port (F).

        Standard
        Condition Standard
        Battery voltage applied between terminals Air flows from port (E) to port (F).

        If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve assembly.
