DESCRIPTION
The windshield wiper relay receives washer switch information from the windshield wiper switch assembly and operates the windshield washer motor and pump assembly.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
PROCEDURE
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR - BATTERY)

Disconnect the A59 motor connector.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

INSPECT WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY

Remove the windshield washer motor (Click here).
Apply battery voltage to the windshield washer motor and check the operation of the windshield washer motor.
OK
Measurement Condition

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
Windshield washer motor operation is normal

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR - WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY AND BODY GROUND)
Disconnect the A59 motor connector.
Disconnect the H56 relay connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
