PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM


  1. OPERATION


    1. The combination meter assembly uses the multi-information display, master warning light, PCS warning light and buzzer to provide the driver with pre-collision system malfunction and indications.

    2. If the radar sensor determines that the possibility of a collision is high, it sends a signal to the combination meter assembly and headup display*. Upon receiving this signal, the combination meter assembly indicates a warning using the multi-information display and skid control buzzer assembly. Details are indicated below.

    3. When the system is not available, the following warning occurs to warn the driver.

      When a system malfunction is detected
      Multi-information Display Detail Master Warning Light PCS Warning Light Buzzer DTC
      Pre-Collision System Malfunction. Visit Your Dealer. This message appears when the forward recognition camera or millimeter wave radar sensor assembly detects a system malfunction. Illuminates Flashes Sounds once Repair is required DTCs are stored
      Pre-Collision System Unavailable.
      • When the millimeter wave radar sensor is hot

      • Power source voltage has decreased, etc.

      Pre-Collision System Unavailable. Clean Sensor. Dirty front grille emblem or millimeter wave radar sensor assembly. - Illuminates - -
      Front Camera Vision Blocked. Clean and Demist Windshield. Dirty or fog windshield glass over the forward recognition camera. - Illuminates - -
      Front Camera Unavailable. Temperature or power supply of forward recognition camera is abnormal. - Illuminates - -
      VSC Turned Off Pre-Collision Brake System Unavailable VSC operation has been disabled - Illuminates - -
    4. Changing settings of the pre-collision system.


      1. Enabling/disabling the pre-collision system.


        1. The pre-collision system can be enabled/disabled on the setting display screen of the multi-information display.

          Tech Tips

          The system is automatically enabled each time the ignition switch is turned to ON.


          1. On the setting display screen, select PCS icon (PCS warning light same design) and then press on OK Switch of the steering pad switch assembly.

          2. Select the [PCS] and then press on OK Switch of the steering pad switch assembly, the system will be enabled/disabled.

        2. If the system is disabled, the PCS warning light will turn on and a message will be displayed on the multi-information display.

      2. Changing the pre-collision warning timing.


        1. The pre-collision warning timing can be changed on the setting display of the multi-information display.

          Tech Tips

          The Operation timing setting is retained when turn the ignition switch off.


          1. On the setting display screen, select PCS icon (PCS warning light same design) and then press on OK Switch of the steering pad switch assembly.

          2. Select [Sensitivity] and then press on OK Switch of the steering pad switch assembly, warning timing of the pre-collision system will be changed (Far/Middle/Near).

          3. Select the operation timing icon on the screen and press on OK Switch of the steering pad switch assembly.
