STEERING ANGLE SENSOR REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:

Do not remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable.

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

  3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE COVER

  5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

  6. REMOVE STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER

  9. REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

    1. Remove the spiral cable with steering angle sensor.

      Note:

      • Do not replace spiral cable with steering angle sensor with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).

      • Do not rotate the spiral cable with steering angle sensor with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).

      • Do not remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable.
