LIGHTING SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Body ECU*1 Receives the headlight dimmer switch assembly and automatic light control sensor signals, and turns on or off the taillights.
    Combination Meter Assembly Receives various signals and illuminates the daytime running lights.

    Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly


    • Light Control Switch

    		 Outputs a light control switch position signal to the body ECU*1 or combination meter assembly*2.
    ECM The ECM sends a engine status signal via the CAN communication.
    Parking Brake Switch Assembly Outputs a parking brake signal to the combination meter assembly.
    DRL Relay Supplies power to the daytime running light.

    *1: Models with body ECU

    *2: Models without body ECU

    1. Operating Condition


      1. The daytime running lights illuminate when the following conditions are met.


        • The ignition switch is ON (the engine is running).

        • The parking brake is off.

        • The headlight dimmer switch assembly is in the AUTO position (and the taillights are not turned on via the automatic light control system).
