RADIATOR GRILLE DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE HOOD TO RADIATOR GRILLE SEAL

    1. Detach the 13 clips and remove the hood to radiator grille seal.

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM (w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

    Tip:

    When removing the radiator grille emblem, heat the radiator grille and radiator grille emblem using a heat light.

    40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

    Radiator Grille Emblem

    20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note:

    Do not heat the radiator grille or radiator grille emblem excessively.

    1. Put protective tape around the radiator grille emblem.

    2. Insert piano wire between the radiator grille and radiator grille emblem.

      Note:

      Be careful of the boss positions.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the radiator grille emblem to the radiator grille.

      Note:

      Be careful not to damage the radiator grille.

    5. Remove the radiator grille emblem.

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM BASE (w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the radiator grille emblem base.

  4. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the radiator grille emblem.

  5. REMOVE FRONT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Wide View Front Monitor System)

  6. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE BRACKET

    1. Remove the screw and radiator grille bracket.

      Tip:

      Use the same procedure for both radiator grille brackets.
