OIL PRESSURE SWITCHING VALVE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT OIL PRESSURE SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection

      Condition

      Specified Condition

      1 - 2

      20°C (68°F)

      13 to 17 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the oil pressure switching valve assembly.

      (Oil Pressure Switching Valve Assembly)

      Connect the positive (+) lead of the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2 and check that the operating sound of the oil pressure switching valve can be heard.

      Note:

      • Perform this test within 10 seconds to prevent the coil from burning out.

      • Always turn the voltage on and off at the battery, not the oil pressure switching valve assembly.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the oil pressure switching valve assembly.
