  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. The No. 1 oil pan (crank case) is made of aluminum alloy.

    2. The No. 2 oil pan is made of steel.

    3. The oil pump is installed in the No. 1 oil pan to make the engine compact.

    4. To improve serviceability, the No. 1 oil pan has been designed so that it can be removed without removing the No. 2 oil pan and the oil pump.

    5. The air conditioning compressor brackets are integrated into the No. 1 oil pan.

    6. Oil passages have been provided in the No. 1 oil pan that allow the oil to flow from the cylinder head, through the cylinder block, to the area below the baffle plate to prevent the engine oil from becoming agitated due to the crankshaft rotation, reducing friction.
