FRONT PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Inspect the power window regulator switch assembly.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly)

         for LHD:

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance

         Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition I1-2 (UP) - I1-5 (GND) UP(MANUAL) → OFF Below 1 Ω → 10 kΩ or higher I1-10 (DOWN) - I1-5 (GND) DOWN(MANUAL) → OFF Below 1 Ω → 10 kΩ or higher I1-2 (UP) - I1-5 (GND) I1-4 (AUTO) - I1-5 (GND) UP(AUTO) → OFF Below 1 Ω → 10 kΩ or higher I1-10 (DOWN) - I1-5 (GND) I1-4 (AUTO) - I1-5 (GND) DOWN(AUTO) → OFF Below 1 Ω → 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the power window regulator switch assembly.

      2. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly)

         for RHD:

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance

         Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition I4-2 (UP) - I4-5 (GND) UP(MANUAL) → OFF Below 1 Ω → 10 kΩ or higher I4-10 (DOWN) - I4-5 (GND) DOWN(MANUAL) → OFF Below 1 Ω → 10 kΩ or higher I4-2 (UP) - I4-5 (GND) I4-4 (AUTO) - I4-5 (GND) UP(AUTO) → OFF Below 1 Ω → 10 kΩ or higher I4-10 (DOWN) - I4-5 (GND) I4-4 (AUTO) - I4-5 (GND) DOWN(AUTO) → OFF Below 1 Ω → 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the power window regulator switch assembly.

   2. Check the illumination.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly)

         for LHD:

         Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the illumination conditions.

         OK
         Tester Connection Specified Condition I1-1 (ILL+) - Battery positive (+) I1-6 (ILL-) - Battery negative (-) Illuminates If the result is not as specified, replace the power window regulator switch assembly.

      2. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly)

         for RHD:

         Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the illumination conditions.

         OK
         Tester Connection Specified Condition I4-1 (ILL+) - Battery positive (+) I4-6 (ILL-) - Battery negative (-) Illuminates If the result is not as specified, replace the power window regulator switch assembly.
