DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives headlight dimmer switch information signals and illuminates the clearance lights, taillights and license plate lights.

Note:
  • Inspect the bulbs and fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • When replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), make sure to replace it with a new one.

PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (TAILLIGHT RELAY)

    1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)

    1. Disconnect the instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
