DESCRIPTION

The No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner RH) is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner RH). If the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner RH) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

Note:

  • If DTCs are output after repairs, turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly on. Then clear the DTCs.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR CORNER RH))

    1. Disconnect the E98 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the R1 No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner RH) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Replace the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner RH) with a known good one.

      Tip:

      All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.
