CYLINDER BLOCK REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE

  1. REPLACE RING PIN

    Tip:

    It is not necessary to remove the ring pins unless they are being replaced.

      Using a plastic hammer, tap in the ring pins to the cylinder block sub-assembly.

      Standard Protrusion Height

      6.5 to 7.5 mm (0.256 to 0.295 in.)

  2. REPLACE STUD BOLT

    Tip:
    • If the stud bolt is deformed or its threads are damaged, replace it.

    • There are 2 installation types for the No. 1 ventilation case.

    • This procedure is for type A.

      Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, install the stud bolts to the cylinder block sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  3. REPLACE STRAIGHT PIN

    Tip:

    It is not necessary to remove the straight pins unless they are being replaced.

    1. Using a plastic hammer, tap in the straight pins to the cylinder block sub-assembly.
