FRONT SIDE WINDOW GLASS INSTALLATION


  1. CLEAN FRONT SIDE WINDOW GLASS

      Using a scraper, remove the spacers, clips, dam and adhesive from the front side window glass.

    2. Clean the outer edge of the front side window glass with non-residue solvent.

      Note


      • Do not touch the front side window glass surface after cleaning it.

      • Even if using new front side window glass, clean the front side window glass with non-residue solvent.

  2. CLEAN VEHICLE BODY

      Clean and shape the contact surface of the vehicle body.


      1. On the contact surface of the vehicle body, use a knife to cut away excess adhesive as shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible.

        Note

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  3. INSTALL QUARTER WINDOW GLASS SPACER

      Apply Primer G to the glass where the quarter window glass spacers will be installed.

      Tech Tips

      If primer G is applied to an area other than that which is specified, wipe off the primer with non-residue solvent before it dries.

      Note


      • Allow the Primer G to dry for 3 minutes or more.

      • Throw away any leftover Primer G.

      • Do not apply too much Primer G.

    2. Install 2 new spacers onto the front side window glass as shown in the illustration.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SIDE WINDOW CLIP LH


    1. Apply Primer G to the glass where the front side window clip will be installed.

      Tech Tips

      If primer G is applied to an area other than that which is specified, wipe off the primer with non-residue solvent before it dries.

      Note


      • Allow the Primer G to dry for 3 minutes or more.

      • Throw away any leftover Primer G.

      • Do not apply too much Primer G.

    2. Install 2 new clips.

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT SIDE WINDOW ADHESIVE DAM LH


    1. Apply Primer G to the glass where the No. 1 front side window adhesive dam will be installed.

      Tech Tips

      If primer G is applied to an area other than that which is specified, wipe off the primer with non-residue solvent before it dries.

      Note


      • Allow the Primer G to dry for 3 minutes or more.

      • Throw away any leftover Primer G.

      • Do not apply too much Primer G.

    2. Install new dam.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SIDE WINDOW SEAL SET PLATE LH (w/ Window Seal Set Plate)

    Note

    Be sure to replace the front side window seal set plate LH with a new one.

      Apply primer to the installation area within the mark-off line of the front side window seal set plate LH shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not apply too much primer.

    3. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the front side window seal set plate LH.

    4. Set the position as shown in the illustration and install the front side window seal set plate LH to the area within the mark-off line.

      *c While contacting the bottom surface of the rail, rotate and attach the double-sided tape. - -

      Tech Tips


      • Front and rear position: Install to the area within the mark-off lines.

      • Upper and lower position: Make contact with the bottom surface of the rail and install.

    5. After the adhesive hardens, pour a small amount of water into the rail water channel, being careful not to spill any, and check that the water drains from the lower section of the front side window seal set plate LH.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SIDE WINDOW GLASS

      Using a brush, apply Primer M to the exposed part of the vehicle body.

      Note


      • Allow the Primer M to dry for 3 minutes or more.

      • Do not apply Primer M to the adhesive.

      • Throw away any leftover Primer M.

      • Do not apply too much Primer M.

    2. Using a brush or sponge, apply Primer G to the contact surface of the glass.

    3. Apply adhesive to the glass.

        Cut off the tip of cartridge nozzle as shown in the illustration.

        After cutting off the tip, use all adhesive within the time written in the table below.

      2. Load the sealer gun with the cartridge.

      3. Apply adhesive to the front side window glass as shown in the illustration.

    4. Install the front side window glass to the vehicle body.


      1. Lightly press the front surface of the front side window glass to ensure that the front side window glass is securely fit to the vehicle body.

        Note


        • Check that the spacers are attached to the vehicle body correctly.

        • Check that the vehicle body and front side window glass have a small gap between them.

      2. Hold the front side window glass in place securely with protective tape or equivalent until the adhesive hardens.

        Note

        Do not drive the vehicle for the amount of time written in the table below.

  8. INSTALL EMERGENCY HAMMER CAUTION PLATE (w/ Emergency Hammer Caution Plate)

    Tech Tips

    Only for the LH Side.


    1. Remove the peeling paper.

    2. Install the emergency hammer caution plate as shown in the illustration.

  9. CHECK FOR LEAKS AND REPAIR


    1. Conduct a leak test after the adhesive has completely hardened.

  10. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR DOOR TRIM MOULDING LH

  11. INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Engage the 19 clips and claw, and install the rear door trim board sub-assembly.

    2. B007PWZ

      Using a "torx" socket wrench, install the 2 "torx" screws.

  12. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR WINDOW GARNISH LH

      Engage the clips and install the slide door window garnish.
