CLUTCH RELEASE CABLE(for 1KR-FE) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL (for LHD)

  11. REMOVE BATTERY

  12. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  13. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      Clutch Release Fork Lever

      Push

      *b

      Turn

      While pushing the clutch release fork lever, turn and loosen the clutch release cable end clamp.

      Disconnect the clutch release cable assembly from the manual transaxle assembly.

      Disconnect the clutch release cable assembly from the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

    4. Disengage the 2 clamp brackets, clutch cable bracket and clutch release cable grommet and remove the clutch release cable assembly.

    5. Remove the bolt, nut and 2 clamp brackets from the vehicle body.

    6. Remove the 2 nuts and clutch cable bracket from the vehicle body.

  14. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      Turn

      While pushing the clutch release fork lever, turn and loosen the clutch release cable end clamp.

      Disconnect the clutch release cable assembly from the manual transaxle assembly.

      Disconnect the clutch release cable assembly from the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

      Disengage the clutch cable bracket and clutch release cable grommet and remove the clutch release cable assembly.

      Remove the 2 nuts and clutch cable bracket from the vehicle body.
