BRAKE PEDAL(for LHD) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Instrument Panel Under Cover)

  3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Driver Side Knee Airbag)

  4. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER

  6. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

      Remove the brake pedal return spring from the brake pedal support assembly and push rod pin.

  7. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN

    1. C269626

      Remove the clip and push rod pin.

    2. Separate the brake master cylinder push rod clevis from the brake pedal support assembly.

  8. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the claw and slide the wire harness protector from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    2. Disconnect the connector from the main body ECU and separate the wire harness protector.

      Remove the bolt and separate the brake pedal support assembly from the instrument panel reinforcement assembly.

      Disengage the 2 clamps and separate the wire harness from the brake pedal support assembly.

    5. C269628

      Remove the 4 nuts and brake pedal support assembly.

    6. C269631

      Remove the nut from the brake pedal support assembly.
