CAMERA HEATER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY HEATER

    Tip:

    • Perform this step only when necessary.

    • If a pre-crash safety city heater has been removed, replace it with a new one. Install a new pre-crash safety city heater with the pre-crash safety city heater wire as a set.

    • Be careful not to bend the pre-crash safety city heater as it may cause an open circuit. If the pre-crash safety city heater has been bent, make sure to replace it with a new one.

    • If the heater wire and adhesive and plastic outer layers of the pre-crash safety city heater have separated, make sure to replace the pre-crash safety city heater with a new one, otherwise water ingress may occur and cause a short circuit.

    1. Clean the windshield glass surface.

    2. If the ambient temperature is lower than 15°C:

      1. Using a heat light, heat the pre-crash safety city heater and windshield glass surface.

        CAUTION:

        • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.

        • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

        Note:

        Do not heat the pre-crash safety city heater or windshield glass excessively.

      Connect the 2 connectors.

    4. Remove the release paper from a new pre-crash safety city heater.

      Tip:

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    5. Align the pre-cash safety city heater with pre-crash safety city heater wire with the alignment marks and install it.

      Note:

      • Make sure to install the pre-crash safety city heater with pre-crash safety city heater wire within the black ceramic border of the windshield glass.

      • The double-sided tape of a pre-crash safety city heater will deteriorate if it is detached. Make sure to replace the pre-crash safety city heater with a new one when reattachment is necessary.

      Tip:

      Apply the pre-crash safety city heater along the bracket.

  2. INSTALL PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY HEATER WIRE

    1. Connect the 2 connectors.

    2. Engage the 2 clamps to install the pre-crash safety city heater wire.

    3. Connect the connector.
