FUEL FILTER INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY (w/ Fuel Heater Relay)

      Float at upper end position

      *b

      Float at lower end position

      Inspect the level warning switch.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection

        Condition

        Specified Condition

        1 - 2

        Float at upper end position

        Below 1 Ω

        Float at lower end position

        10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel filter assembly.

    2. Inspect the fuel heater.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection

        Condition

        Specified Condition

        1 - 2

        20°C (68°F)

        0.1 to 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel filter assembly.
