DESCRIPTION

The illumination of the low beam headlights is controlled by the instrument panel junction block (main body ECU). When the headlights are turned on, the headlight leveling ECU receives a signal from the headlight light control ECU and detects the illumination condition of the low beam headlights.

Tech Tips

DTC B2430 and B2431 are not output if 12 seconds have not elapsed since the ignition switch was turned to ON.

  3. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL RELAY BLOCK


    1. B007ON3E01

      Remove the instrument panel relay block.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      12A-1 - 12B-9 Battery voltage not applied between terminals 12A-1 and 12B-10 10 kΩ or higher
      Battery voltage applied between terminals 12A-1 and 12B-10 Below 1 Ω
      12A-1 - 12D-3 Battery voltage not applied between terminals 12A-1 and 12D-4 10 kΩ or higher
      Battery voltage applied between terminals 12A-1 and 12D-4 Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL RELAY BLOCK - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK [BODY ECU] AND BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the 12A, 12B and 12D instrument panel relay block connectors.

    2. Disconnect the 13E instrument panel junction block (main body ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the A39 headlight leveling ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the A36*1 and A33*2 headlight connectors.


      • *1: for LH

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
