FRONT AIR CONDITIONING UNIT DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY (w/ Cooler System)

    1. for LHD (for Automatic Air Conditioning System):

      1. Disconnect each connector.

      2. Disengage each clamp to remove the air conditioning harness assembly from the air conditioning unit assembly.

    2. for RHD (for Automatic Air Conditioning System):

      1. Disconnect each connector.

      2. Disengage each clamp to remove the air conditioning harness assembly from the air conditioning unit assembly.

    3. for Manual Air Conditioning System:

      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage each clamp to remove the air conditioning harness assembly from the air conditioning unit assembly.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

      Disengage the claw and turn the No. 1 damper servo sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to remove it.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

      Disengage the claw and turn the No. 2 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to remove it.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

      Disengage the claw and turn the No. 2 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to remove it.

  5. REMOVE AIR FILTER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Cooler System)

      Remove the air filter case and air filter sub-assembly from the air conditioning unit assembly.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER THERMISTOR (w/ Cooler System)

      Remove the No. 1 cooler thermistor from the air conditioning unit assembly.

  7. REMOVE BLOWER RESISTOR

      Disengage the claw and slide the blower resistor as shown in the illustration to remove it.

  8. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 bolts and air conditioning radiator case from the air conditioning unit assembly.

      Remove the 2 bolts and air conditioning radiator assembly from the air conditioning unit assembly.

  9. REMOVE BLOWER MOTOR WITH FAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the claw and turn the blower motor with fan sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to remove it.

  10. REMOVE AIR MIX DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

      Disengage the guide.

    2. Disconnect the air mix damper control cable sub-assembly cable end from the control lever to remove it.

  11. REMOVE AIR INLET DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

      Disengage the guide.

    2. Disconnect the air inlet damper control cable sub-assembly cable end from the control lever to remove it.

  12. REMOVE DEFROSTER DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

      Disengage the guide.

    2. Disconnect the defroster damper control cable sub-assembly cable end from the control lever to remove it.

  13. REMOVE AIR DAMPER CASE ASSEMBLY

    1. E294239

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Turn the air damper case assembly as shown in the illustration to remove it.
