DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when a malfunction of the differential lock switch is detected.

  • Diagnosis Condition: Directly after the ignition switch is turned to ON, or when the ignition switch is ON

  • Malfunction Status: Differential lock switch stuck ON

  • Malfunction Time: 0.3 seconds or more when the ignition switch is turned to ON, or 60 seconds or more with the ignition switch ON

  • Other: 1 trip detection logic

  • Wire harness and connector

  • 4 wheel drive control ECU

  • Differential lock switch

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU - DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SWITCH)


    1. Disconnect the C39 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the G137 differential lock switch connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C39-15 (R) or G137-11 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Proceed to

      NG

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  2. INSPECT DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SWITCH


    1. Disconnect the G137 differential lock switch connector.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
