HEADUP DISPLAY SYSTEM Main Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The integration control and panel assembly (headup display switch) and meter mirror sub-assembly are connected via direct line. The meter mirror sub-assembly can be turned off and on by operating the integration control and panel assembly (headup display switch).

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (MAIN SWITCH)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Head Up Display / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Head Up Display > Data List
      Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Main Switch Integration control and panel assembly (headup display switch) status OFF or ON

      OFF: Switch released

      ON: Switch pushed

      Integration control and panel assembly (headup display switch) condition displayed on the GTS changes with the actual switch operation.

  2. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the integration control and panel assembly (headup display switch).

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY - INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY [HEADUP DISPLAY SWITCH])


    1. Disconnect the G88 meter mirror sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G6 integration control and panel assembly (headup display switch) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.


      1. for LHD:

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        G88-9 (SW1) - G6-4 (ILU) Always Below 1 Ω
        G88-16 (E) - G6-16 (CH) Always Below 1 Ω
        G88-9 (SW1) or G6-4 (ILU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        G88-16 (E) or G6-16 (CH) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      2. for RHD:

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        G88-9 (SW1) - G6-5 (ILU) Always Below 1 Ω
        G88-16 (E) - G6-17 (CH) Always Below 1 Ω
        G88-9 (SW1) or G6-5 (ILU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        G88-16 (E) or G6-17 (CH) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
