GENERATOR REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
PRECAUTION (w/ Air Conditioning System)
Note:After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Air Conditioning System)
Note:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE HEADLAMP UNIT ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Air Conditioning System)
REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT (w/ Air Conditioning System)
REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER (w/ Air Conditioning System)

Using an 8 mm hexagon wrench, remove the bolt and V-ribbed belt tensioner.

SEPARATE WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Conditioning System)
Tip:The washer jar assembly will be in the way when removing the bolt of the generator assembly. Separate the washer jar assembly first.

Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps from the washer jar assembly.
Remove the 2 bolts.

Generator Assembly Connector
Remove the terminal cap.
Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.
Disconnect the generator assembly connector and disengage the wire harness clamp.

Loosen the bolt (A).
Move the washer jar assembly and remove the bolt (B).

Remove the generator assembly.
Remove the bolt (A) from generator assembly.

REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT (w/o Air Conditioning System)
REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Air Conditioning System)

Remove the generator assembly.
Remove the bolt from generator assembly.
