DESCRIPTION

If the forward recognition camera detects that the forward recognition camera axis has deviated, DTC C1AA8 is stored. Also, if Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust is not performed after installing the forward recognition camera, DTC C1AA9 is stored.

While the power switch is on (IG) and the road sign assist system is operating, the forward recognition camera detects forward recognition camera optical axis deviation.

While the power switch is on (IG), the forward recognition camera detects that forward recognition camera adjustment has not been completed.

Note:

  • When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, be sure to perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust.

    1. Check if the stored DTCs are current DTCs.

    2. Check for DTCs.

  13. CLEAR DTCs

    1. Check for DTCs related to the forward recognition camera.

      Tip:

      If only history DTCs are stored, they may have been stored due to a temporarily condition such as overloading of the vehicle, and the system returned to normal when Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust was performed.

    2. Clear the DTCs.
