MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL

    1. Stop the vehicle in a level place.

    2. Remove the No. 1 engine under cover.

      Manual Transmission Filler Plug

      Remove the manual transmission filler plug and the gasket.

      0 to 5 mm (0 to 0.197 in.)

      Check that the oil level is between 0 to 5 mm (0 to 0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the manual transmission filler plug opening. If the result is not as specified, add manual transmission oil.

      Note:

      • Too much or too little oil may cause trouble.

      • After adjusting the oil level, drive the vehicle and check the oil level again.

    5. Check for oil leakage if the oil level is low.

    6. Install a new gasket and the manual transmission filler plug.

    7. Install the No. 1 engine under cover.
