ENGINE UNIT DETAILS VALVE MECHANISM

  1. CONSTRUCTION

    1. Each cylinder has 2 intake valves and 2 exhaust valves. Intake and exhaust efficiency is increased due to larger total port areas.

    2. The valves are directly opened and closed by 2 camshafts.

    3. This engine uses a Dual Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (Dual VVT-i) system which controls the intake camshaft (camshaft) and exhaust camshaft (No. 2 camshaft) to provide optimal valve timing according to driving conditions. With this, lower fuel consumption, higher engine performance, and reduced exhaust emissions have been achieved.
