REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT


    1. Install the rear differential support to the rear differential carrier assembly with 4 new bolts.

      Torque:
      72 N*m  { 734 kgf*cm, 53 ft.*lbf }
  2. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT


    1. Install the rear No. 1 differential support to the rear differential carrier assembly with 2 new bolts.

      Torque:
      55 N*m  { 561 kgf*cm, 41 ft.*lbf }
  3. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT


    1. Install the rear No. 2 differential support to the rear differential carrier assembly with 2 new bolts.

      Torque:
      55 N*m  { 561 kgf*cm, 41 ft.*lbf }
  4. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY


    1. Support the rear differential carrier assembly with a transmission jack or equivalent.

    2. Slowly raise the transmission jack, and install 3 new bolts.

      Torque:
      for bolt A
      86 N*m  { 877 kgf*cm, 63 ft.*lbf }
      for bolt B
      106 N*m  { 1080 kgf*cm, 78 ft.*lbf }
    3. Install the breather tube.

    4. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.

      Torque:
      19.6 N*m  { 200 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }
    5. Connect the connector.

    6. Connect the 2 harness clamps.

  5. INSTALL MAIN MUFFLER HEAT INSULATOR


    1. Install the main muffler heat insulator to the vehicle body with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }
  6. INSTALL REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH


  7. INSTALL REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH
