PROCEDURE
INSPECT PCV VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
When inspecting the PCV valve sub-assembly, do not suck air through the valve.
There are blow-by gas substances remaining inside the PCV valve sub-assembly that are harmful to inhale.
Install a clean hose to the PCV valve sub-assembly.
Check the PCV valve sub-assembly operation.

Air |
Blow air into the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH side and check that air passes through easily. If the result is not as specified, replace the PCV valve sub-assembly.
CAUTION:
Do not suck air through the valve. Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.
If the result is not as specified, replace the PCV valve sub-assembly.

Air |
Blow air into the intake air surge tank assembly side and check that air passes through with difficulty.
CAUTION:
Do not suck air through the valve. Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.
If the result is not as specified, replace the PCV valve sub-assembly.
Remove the clean hose from the PCV valve sub-assembly.
