SFI SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:P1183 and P1184

DTC Code DTC Name
P1183 Short Circuit to the Ground on the Mastervac Sensor
P1184 Short Circuit to Batt on the Mastervac Sensor

DESCRIPTION

The vacuum sensor assembly detects the brake booster pressure as a change in voltage. The ECM calculates the brake booster pressure based on this voltage.

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are stored when a malfunction is detected in the vacuum sensor assembly (brake booster pressure sensor) circuit. If there is an open or short in the vacuum sensor assembly (brake booster pressure sensor) circuit, the ECM will illuminate the MIL and store a DTC.
