ENGINE UNIT REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE TURBOCHARGER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 IGNITION COIL

    Click here

  5. REMOVE FUEL VAPOR FEED PIPE

      Remove the 2 bolts and fuel vapor feed pipe from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the water by-pass pipe union bolt and water inlet pipe gasket.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and water by-pass pipe sub-assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Slide the clip and remove the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the water inlet.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR BRACKET

      Remove the bolt and No. 1 heat insulator bracket from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE STUD BOLT

    1. A354711

      Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the stud bolt from the timing chain cover assembly.
