DESCRIPTION

  • When the front doors are closed, each door window regulator can control its power window operation for approximately 45 seconds after the ignition switch is turned from ON to off by receiving operation permission signals from the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block). However, when approximately 45 seconds have elapsed, or a front side door is opened within approximately 45 seconds of the ignition switch being turned off, all the door window regulators disable manual operation.

  • During the auto function operation, when 45 seconds have elapsed and key-off operation is prohibited, the window operation will not stop until the auto operation is completed.

  • The front passenger side power window and the rear power windows cannot be operated when the window lock switch is on.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

    1. Check for LIN communication system DTCs related to the power window control system (Click here).

      OK

      LIN communication system DTCs are not output.

    GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

  2. CHECK POWER WINDOW OPERATION FUNCTION AFTER IGNITION SWITCH OFF

    1. Check the power window operation function after the ignition switch is turned off (Click here).

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)

  3. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)

    1. Use the Data List to check if the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) is functioning properly (Click here).

  4. CHECK FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Open a front door and check that the map light illuminates (Click here).

      OK

      Map light illuminates.
