DESCRIPTION

  • The ECM turns on the cruise control indicator by sending indicator output demand signals to the combination meter assembly using CAN communication.

  • The cruise control indicator illuminates when the dynamic radar cruise control system has been turned on using the ON/OFF. If a malfunction is detected, the cruise control indicator goes out and a warning message is displayed.

  • The cruise control indicator circuit uses CAN communication. If the cruise control indicator is not functioning correctly, check for CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:

When replacing the combination meter assembly, make sure to replace it with a new one.

PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (METER DISPLAY 1)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (CRUISE INDICATOR)

    1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise1 / Data List.

    2. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      1. for 2AD-FHV, 2AD-FTV:
