DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the front drive shaft assembly (Click here).

  2. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL

      Using SST, remove the transmission case oil seal.

  3. REMOVE FRONT TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL

    1. C193805E03

      Using SST, remove the front transaxle case oil seal.

  4. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL

    1. C193806E01

      Coat the lip of a new oil seal with MP grease.

    2. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.

      Standard depth

      10.6 to 11.6 mm (0.417 to 0.457 in.)

      Note:

      Do not damage the oil seal lip.

  5. INSTALL FRONT TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL

    1. C193807E06

      Coat the lip of a new oil seal with MP grease.

    2. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.

      Standard depth

      1.2 to 2.2 mm (0.0473 to 0.0866 in.)

      Note:

      Do not damage the oil seal lip.

  6. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the front drive shaft assembly (Click here).

  7. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
