FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    • After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).

  2. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

  4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

    1. Put protective tape around the front bumper cover.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts labeled A and 2 bolts labeled B.

      Remove the 2 screws and 4 clips.

      Remove the 2 screws.

      Tip:

      Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

      Detach the 7 claws.

      Tip:

      Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

    6. w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System:

      Disconnect the connector.

    7. Disconnect the headlight cleaner hose and 2 fog light connectors.

    8. Remove the front bumper cover.

  5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

    1. Remove the front bumper energy absorber.

  6. REMOVE LOWER FRONT BUMPER COVER

    1. Remove the clip, 5 bolts and lower front bumper cover.

  7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 6 nuts and front bumper reinforcement.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the 4 bolts and No. 2 front bumper extension.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT LH

    1. Remove the 2 screws and front bumper bar reinforcement.

  11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

    Protective Tape

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Using a clip remover, detach 2 claws and remove the front bumper side support.

      Tip:

      Tape the clip remover tip before use.

  15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  16. REMOVE UPPER CENTER FRONT BUMPER RETAINER

    1. Remove the 3 bolts and upper center front bumper retainer.

  17. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR LH

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the radiator side deflector.

  18. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  19. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and front bumper bracket.

  20. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
