DESCRIPTION

The parking brake ECU assembly receives the wheel speed information of each wheel from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) via CAN communication.

This DTC is stored when a malfunction occurs in the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly).

Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Engine switch is on (IG)

  2. Malfunction signal is input from skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) for approx. 0.3 sec.

  • Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)

  • Parking brake ECU assembly

 Yes An electric parking brake system malfunction is displayed on the multi-information display.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

When replacing the parking brake ECU assembly, operate the electric parking brake switch (integration control and panel assembly), as the parking brake indicator light (red) blinks when the engine switch is first turned on (IG).

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTC.

    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > Electric Parking Brake > Clear DTCs

    2. Turn the engine switch off.

    3. Check for DTC.
