MANUAL TRANSAXLE SYSTEM Pattern Select Switch iMT Mode Circuit

DESCRIPTION

Operating the iMT switch illuminates the iMT indicator light in the combination meter assembly. This displays the iMT system standby condition.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (iMT SWITCH (PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY))


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List


      Powertrain > Engine > Data List
      Tester Display
      iMT SW
    5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

      • ON: iMT switch being pressed and held

      • OFF: iMT switch not pressed

      Disconnect the iMT Switch (Pattern Select Switch Assembly) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      F66-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard Resistance
      for TMC Made
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F66-5 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (iMT SWITCH (PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY) - ECM)


    1. Disconnect the F66 iMT switch (Pattern Select Switch Assembly) connector.

    2. Disconnect the A38 ECM connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for TMMT Made
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F66-4 (IG) - A38-36 (MTMS) Always Below 1 Ω
      F66-4 (IG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
