RADIATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    1. A353858

      Remove the 6 bolts, 11 clips and No. 1 engine under cover.

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  4. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (w/ Air Conditioning System)

    for HFC-134a (R134a):Click here

    for HFO-1234yf (R1234yf):Click here

  5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE NO. 3 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE

      Screw

      Remove the 2 clips and 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the claw and remove the No. 3 radiator air guide.

  9. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSS MEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and radiator support to cross member brace sub-assembly.

  10. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Conditioning System)

  11. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Conditioning System)

  12. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 upper radiator supports.

    2. Remove the radiator support cushion from each upper radiator support.

  13. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the 2 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly LH.

  14. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly RH.

  15. REMOVE CONDENSER WITH RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Conditioning System)

  16. REMOVE BATTERY

  17. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

  18. REMOVE THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY

  19. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    2. A353865

      for RHD:

      1. Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

      2. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the wire harness from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

      for LHD:

      1. Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

        Disengage the clamp to disconnect the wire harness from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    4. A353868

      Remove the 4 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly.

  20. DISCONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    1. A353869

      Disengage the clamp to disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose from the fan shroud assembly.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.

  21. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  22. DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR HOSE

    1. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 2 air hose from the intercooler assembly.

  23. DISCONNECT NO. 3 AIR HOSE

    1. A316589

      Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 3 air hose from the intercooler assembly.

  24. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  25. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 radiator air guide LH.

  26. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH

    1. A353871

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 radiator air guide RH.

  27. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  28. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY AND FAN SHROUD ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the clamp.

    2. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    3. A353874

      Remove the intercooler assembly, radiator assembly and fan shroud assembly from the vehicle body.

    4. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports.

  29. REMOVE INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY

  30. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

    1. A356297

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the fan shroud assembly from the radiator assembly.

      Note:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan shroud assembly.
