WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

  2. DRAIN COOLANT (for Inverter)

    Click here

  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER

    Click here

  4. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

    Click here

  5. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER

    Click here

  6. REMOVE INVERTER WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

      *1 Inlet Hybrid Water Pump Hose
      *2 Outlet No. 1 Hybrid Water Pump Hose

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the inlet hybrid water pump hose and outlet No. 1 hybrid water pump hose.

      Note


      • Put pieces of cloth into the pipes and disconnected hoses or cover the pipes and hoses with plastic bags to prevent foreign matter from entering the inverter water pump assembly and inverter cooling system.

      • Do not apply excessive force to the hoses.

    2. Disconnect the inverter water pump assembly connector.

      Note


      • Wipe off any coolant around the inverter water pump assembly connector before disconnecting it.

      • Apply insulating tape to the connectors of the wire harness and inverter water pump assembly to prevent the entry of coolant.

      Remove the 3 bolts and inverter water pump assembly from the HV water pump bracket sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE HV WATER PUMP BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the HV water pump bracket sub-assembly is necessary.


    1. Remove the air cleaner assembly with No. 2 air cleaner hose.

      Disengage the 3 clamps.

      Remove the 2 bolts and HV water pump bracket sub-assembly.
