MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE

  1. DRAIN MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL

    1. Stop the vehicle in a level place.

    2. C303179

      Remove the manual transaxle filler plug and gasket.

    3. C303180

      Remove the manual transaxle drain plug and gasket to drain the manual transaxle oil.

    4. Install a new gasket and the manual transaxle drain plug.

  2. ADD MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL

    1. D025304C02

      *a

      0 to 5 mm (0 to 0.197 in.)

      Add manual transaxle oil until the oil level is between 0 and 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the manual transaxle filler plug opening.

      Manual Transaxle Oil

      "TOYOTA Genuine Manual Transmission Gear Oil LV" or "API GL-4 and SAE 75W"

      Standard Capacity

      1.7 liters (1.8 US qts, 1.5 Imp. qts)

    2. Install a new gasket and the manual transaxle filler plug.

      Note:
      • When adding manual transaxle oil, make sure that the vehicle is level.

      • An excessively large or small amount of manual transaxle oil may cause problems.

      • After adding manual transaxle oil, drive the vehicle and recheck the oil level.

  3. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
