CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER(for EA66) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  6. REMOVE BATTERY

  7. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  11. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

  12. REMOVE NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

  13. DISCONNECT COMPRESSOR OUTLET ELBOW

  14. DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR HOSE

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY

  16. DISCONNECT CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE HOSE TUBE

    1. C299390

      Using a 10 mm union nut wrench, disconnect the clutch release cylinder to flexible hose tube from the clutch release cylinder assembly.

      Tip:

      Use a container to collect the fluid.

  17. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

    1. C299391

      Remove the 2 bolts, clutch release cylinder assembly from the manual transaxle assembly.
