DESCRIPTION

If the vehicle information stored in the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) which is sent via CAN communication during the clearance warning ECU assembly self-diagnosis does not match that of clearance warning ECU assembly, DTC C168D is stored.

Note


  • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance,performing initialization may be needed. Refer to Calibration.

    1. Perform the following procedure to register the vehicle information.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Using the GTS, check for DTCs according to the prompts on the screen.

      Tech Tips

      After turning the ignition switch from off to ON, wait 4 seconds or more before checking for DTCs.


      Body Electrical > IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar > Trouble Codes

    2. Clear the DTCs according to the screen on the GTS.

    3. Recheck for DTCs.

      Tech Tips

      If DTC C168D is still output after registering the vehicle information 3 times, replace the clearance warning ECU assembly.
