CONSTRUCTION
A torque converter and oil pump are positioned in the input shaft. In addition, a planetary gear is positioned as a forward/reverse switching unit.

The gear train consists of a continuously variable transmission mechanism with a steel belt and a pair of pulleys, a pair of reduction gears, a pair of final gears and a differential mechanism. The groove width of the pulley changes according to the oil pressure to change the diameter of the steel belt, changing the pulley ratio.
