REAR DIFFERENTIAL SIDE GEAR SHAFT OIL SEAL INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL SIDE GEAR SHAFT OIL SEAL

    1. C279520E01

      Using SST and a hammer, tap the new 2 rear differential side gear shaft oil seals into the rear differential carrier and differential side bearing retainer according to the specification.

      Standard oil seal tapping amount (A value)

      7.2 +/-0.5 mm (0.283 +/-0.0197 in.)

      Note:

      • Tap the oil seal uniformly so that the oil seal is straight.

      • Do not tap the oil seal in too far.
