DESCRIPTION

DTC C1681 is stored if the television camera controller judges as a result of its self check that a synchronization problem is occurring in the image signal sent from the front television camera assembly to the television camera controller.

  • When "!" is displayed on the radio and display receiver assembly after the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION CAMERA CONTROLLER - FRONT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the R124 television camera controller connector.

    2. Disconnect the B7 front television camera assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      R124-15 (BCB+) - B7-6 (BCB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R124-13 (BCV+) - B7-3 (BCV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R124-14 (BCV-) - B7-2 (BCV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R124-27 (BGND) - B7-5 (BGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      R124-25 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R124-15 (BCB+) or B7-6 (BCB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R124-13 (BCV+) or B7-3 (BCV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R124-14 (BCV-) or B7-2 (BCV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK FRONT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (BCV+, BGND)


    1. Remove the television camera controller with the connector still connected.

    2. Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform of the front television camera assembly.

      Tech Tips

      A waterproof connector is used for the front television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the television camera controller with the connector connected.

      Tech Tips


      • The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the front television camera assembly.

      • The video waveform is constantly output when the engine switch is on (ACC).
