DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the clearance warning ECU assembly receives a steering angle sensor internal malfunction signal from the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly via CAN communication.

Note


  • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization may be needed. Refer to Calibration.

  • When continuing with the inspection, confirm that the necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) have been completed before proceeding.

PROCEDURE


  1. REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar > Clear DTCs
    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.
