FUEL LID OPENER UNIT INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FUEL FILLER OPENING LID SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *a Rib

      Install the fuel tank filler pipe shield with the rib positioned at the top as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the fuel inlet box ring as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Fuel Inlet Box Ring - -

      Tech Tips

      Face the end gap of the fuel inlet box ring downward.

      *a Lip
      B008GB8 Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • Make sure that the lip is as shown in the illustration (a) when applying protective tape.

      • Make sure that the lip is not deformed as shown in the illustration (b).

      Tech Tips

      It is not necessary to perform this step when using a new fuel filler opening lid sub-assembly as protective tape will already be applied.

    4. A01OB9S

      Temporarily install the fuel filler opening lid sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    5. A01OBSSC01
      *a Protective Tape

      Remove the protective tape as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to remove the protective tape from a new fuel filler opening lid sub-assembly.

    6. Install the fuel filler opening lid sub-assembly with the 4 screws.

    7. Install the fuel tank filler pipe shield as shown in the illustration.

    8. Install the fuel inlet box ring as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Fuel Inlet Box Ring - -

      Tech Tips

      Face the end gap of the fuel inlet box ring downward.

  2. INSTALL FUEL TANK CAP ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the clamp.

    2. A01ODVX

      Install the fuel tank cap assembly as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL FUEL FILLER OPENING LID ASSEMBLY


    1. A01OCT4N01

      Slide the fuel filler opening lid assembly as shown in the illustration to connect it to the 4 parts (a) and engage the claw to install the fuel filler opening lid assembly.

    2. Remove the protective tape.

  4. INSTALL REAR WHEEL HOUSE LINER LH


    1. Install the rear wheel house liner LH with the 8 nuts.

    2. Install 3 new grommets.

    3. Install the 3 clips.

    4. Install the screw.

  5. INSTALL FRONT REAR WHEEL HOUSE PLATE
